Judith A. “Judy” VanDoren, 76, of Coldwater passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 in Athens, MI.
Cremation has taken place.
There will be a celebration of life will take place at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Coldwater Saturday June 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place following the service at Snow Prairie Cemetery.
All arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Judy was born December 28, 1948 in Hillsdale to James R. and Layola J. (Hutchins) Harris. She met and married Sidney Avery who preceded her in death March 17, 2007. Judy later met and married Albert VanDoren February 12, 2012.
She retired from Walmart as well as spending many years taking care of those she loved as a homemaker.
Judy was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Judy grew up taking care of her siblings from a young age where she found so much joy in taking care of others. She looked forward to taking her grandchildren to McDonalds and going to the Coldwater Garden after church on Sundays.
Judy was truly loved by all and will be missed very much.
Judy is survived by her husband Albert VanDoren; her children Katrina (Junior) Avery; Michael (Erin) Avery; Penny (Jasen) Munyon; Vita VanDoren; Candace Fritz; Karen Shirley; Bryan (Barb) VanDoren; Brett (Renee) VanDoren; her siblings Wesley (Nancy) Harris; Steve (Kathy) Harris; Linda (Mike) Hiner; Phillip Harris; Connie (Randy) Wright; Lorrie Harris; Gayle Schomaker; Bert (Lisa) Harris; 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; many loving nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews and many other loving family members.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Sidney Avery; her children Kathy Raymond; Bruce VanDoren; her siblings Tom Harris; Gary Harris; Joy Giacoletto; and Ray Harris.
