COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)- The investigation it to what caused a fire at Haylett Trailers fire is continuing, Fire investigators revisited the scene of the blaze on Friday but have yet to determine an exact cause.
When the first units arrived on the scene around 8;45, heavy smoke and flames were scene coming from the building that was occupied by Haylett Trailers and Safeguard RV Service and Repair.
Estimated damage to the building is listed at $2,500,000 and the contents were valued at $500,000, that included 5 RV’S and a tractor inside the building.
Assisting at the scene were Bronson Fire, Quincy Fire, Lakeland Fire, Union City Fire, Lifecare Ambulance, Branch County Sheriffs Office, Michigan State Police ,Consumer Energy, Coldwater DMS, and Branch County Road Commission.
It took 2 hours and 15 minutes to bring the fire under control, crews were finally able to clear the scene and re open US 12 around 1:30 a.m. Friday morning.
