CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man who was sentenced earlier this year in Branch County to 15 years in prison on sexual assault charges has now been sentenced on similar charges in St. Joseph County.
55-year-old David Miller was sentenced last week in St. Joseph County Circuit Court to 18 to 50 years for sexually assaulting two minors. He pled guilty to two counts of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct in February.
Miller was accused of sexually assaulting the victims numerous times in Branch and St. Joseph counties. Miller was initially investigated by the Lagrange County Sheriff’s Department in Indiana in March 2023. During the investigation, authorities obtained information suggesting sexual assaults may have occurred in the State of Michigan, and Michigan State Police launched a separate investigation into allegations that ultimately led to charges and convictions in St. Joseph and Branch counties.
His Michigan prison sentences will run concurrently.
He is scheduled to return to LaGrange County, Indiana, where the investigation started, to face charges.
